Navi Mumbai Police had organised a campaign named “NASHA MUKHT FOREVER”. The said campaign was held at the CIDCO Exhibition Centre, Vashi which aimed to raise awareness about the severe harmful effects of drug abuse on individuals, families, and society. Prominent figures such as Actor ‘John Abraham’ and the Chief Minister of Maharashtra ‘Devendra Fadnavis’ graced the occasion, emphasizing the importance of eradicating substance abuse from our communities. Actor John Abraham leads the Navi Mumbai Police’s anti-drug campaign as the brand ambassador helping to create an awareness for avoidance of the drug use.
Navi Mumbai Police launched a helpline number, 8828112112, where people in Navi Mumbai can call and anonymously give a tip-off about the drugs and promised prompt action. The Chief Minister noted that the Government is committed to taking stronger measures to combat drug trafficking, support rehabilitation efforts, and implement educational programs that help prevent drug use, especially among the youth. John Abraham shared his personal experiences, stressing the importance of staying away from drugs and encouraging others to seek help if they are struggling and his words resonated deeply with the audience, inspiring many to take a stand against drug abuse and spread awareness in their own communities. Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, Panvel took an initiative and motivated students to attend the said campaign and made them aware about the consequences and bad effects of the drugs on the health of the students. The students with an optimistic view promised to "Say no to drugs" for a healthier, safer future.
In conclusion, the Campaign held to be an effective source to convey about the use of drugs which has numerous harmful effects, especially on the young generation to make them healthy and to make responsible decisions.
