Avishkar Research Convention under the University of Mumbai, is a platform for development of research culture and scientific temper among the students, scholars, and teachers from under-graduate to doctoral level.
Students of the University of Mumbai are allowed to participate in any of the following category / discipline irrespective of their own discipline / course.
Categories / Disciplines:
Category 1: Humanities, Languages and Fine Arts
Category 2: Commerce, Management and Law
Category 3: Pure Sciences
Category 4: Agriculture and Animal Husbandry
Category 5: Engineering and Technology
Category 6: Medicine and Pharmacy
Students from any discipline can participate in any category to which their research proposal fits.
Two rounds for the Convention are –
Selection round (District / Zone Level)
Final round (University Level)
To ignite the curious mind of the students to propose their ideas.
To develop skill to convert them into research proposal.
To review new dimensions of explored areas of knowledge as well as the unexplored areas of enquiry.
To develop research culture and scientific temper amongst students, scholars, and teachers.
