The Skill Development Committee of Bhagubai Changu Thakur College of Law, New Panvel, successfully organized a Special Lecture on "Popular Destinations for Studying Abroad Among Indian Students" on 7th February 2025 in the Seminar Hall. The session aimed to provide students with insights into global education opportunities, admission procedures, financial planning, scholarships, visa documentation, and career prospects abroad.

The guest speaker for the session was Mr. Puneet Thakur – Manager, Business Development, Azent Overseas Education

The lecture commenced at 11:00 AM, with Ms. Disha Dhone as the host. Mr. Puneet Thakur provided valuable insights into various aspects of overseas education, covering topics such as:

• Popular study destinations among Indian students, including the UK, USA, Australia, Ireland, and Canada
• Eligibility criteria, admission requirements, and standardized tests for studying abroad
• The impact of an international education on personal and professional growth
• Scholarship opportunities at renowned universities
• Guidance on writing a Statement of Purpose (SOP), Letter of Recommendation (LOR), and Resume
• Information about internships, part-time jobs, and assistantship opportunities abroad
• Visa application procedures, financial documentation, and pre-departure counseling

Students actively participated in the discussion, raising insightful queries, which were addressed by the speaker. The interactive nature of the session made it highly beneficial in broadening students' perspectives on international education and career prospects.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Chaitrali Kane, expressing gratitude to the esteemed speaker, faculty members, and students for their enthusiastic participation.
